The Official Dawn Lyn Site

I was born in Los Angeles, CA and made my acting debut at four years old in a low-budget, independent production. It wasn't until I was about 12 that I discovered I had played a Native American boy in the movie. I was the original Prudence in the pilot for "Nanny and the Professor". By the time the pilot sold at the last minute, I had already been released from that contract and cast as Dodie in "My Three Sons". The producers of "Nanny and the Professor" unsuccessfully sued in an attempt to get me back.

I worked steadily until my mid-teens, then all of a sudden I started hearing that I looked too young to play my own age, but was too mature to play younger.   My petite stature was now working against me instead of for me, as it had when I was a child.

I decided to branch out professionally, instead of concentrating only on acting, and have done many things over the years. One of those includes co-owning a boutique on Pier 39 when I lived in San Francisco. People often ask me if I will act again; I have been active in local community theater, and we also did old fashioned radio shows.  That was great fun.  Acting really does get in your blood, so I can't say I won't actively pursue it again.  In fact, having recently moved to Europe, I have become quite curious about what opportunities there may be over here.  I promise to keep you updated on what happens.

My husband's career brought us to Germany; it is a beautiful country and we have met very nice people.
John and I are very glad to be able to live abroad for a while and see more of the world.  The photo above is me at he peak of  the highest mountain in Germany, Zugspitze.  I am second form the left, waving.  John was shocked when I told him I was going, and handed him the camera to take photos for the site.  Then he climbed over too.

I deeply appreciate all the nice emails I get.  It is wonderful to have been a part of something that touched people in a positive way.  My wish for all of you is health, happiness, and love.
