Hello All,
I am back! My site was down for a while because I decided to change hosting companies, and the process was much more complicated than I expected. Then, because of the host change, I have to create a whole new site. It will be a work in progress for a bit as I add pages and photos, so please bear with me.
So now for the updates on what is happening in my world. John and I had great time in Santorini, Greece.
Photo # 1: Here I am in the breakfast room at the hotel. John took this pic because I was pleasantly surprised to find a Norwegian flag on display. My people!
Photo # 2: John and I with our wonderful hosts, Georgi and Tania. They could not have been more wonderful. The airline cancelled our original flight and put us on a later flight, we arrived at 2 in the morning and Georgi was at the airport to pick us up. Tania and Xrysoula are warm and friendly ladies, and took great care of us.
Photo # 3: Me and Yutsa (not sure of the spelling), the donkey that very kindly carried our luggage. He also tried to eat my jacket, but did not succeed LOL
John and I went on a road trip over Thanksgiving. We visited, Bamberg, Hamburg, and Munster, Germany first. Then to Zwolle and Baarle-Nassau, Netherlands. Then to Baarle-Herzog and Brussels, Belgium. Baarle-Nassau/Baarle-Herzog is a charming town that is divided by the border of Netherlands and Belgium. The last photo is of me with a foot in each country. On the drive home we stopped in Liechtenstein, so John could pay his repects at General Patton's grave.
I am VERY excited about my next trip, I am going on a weekend trip to NORWAY!! The land of my ancestors is just a few months away. I am going with my dear friend, Trish, who also has Norwegian blood. I KNOW we are going to have a fantastic time!
Love to all,
Dawn : )
